  • About

Irish Heritage is a registered charity, established to continue the musical legacy of Ireland by providing funding and exposure to performers of Irish descent. Irish Heritage also provides outreach to the Irish community in the UK through performances and recitals.

A new website was requested as part of a larger rebranding of the charity, and over the course of a few months I built and iterated upon a site that tells the story of the charity and provides a platform for the charity to communicate with the public.

I was repsonsible for the entirety of the charity's web presence. This ranges from SEO, to content management, to all technical concerns involved with running a live website. I engaged extensively with senior stakeholders within the charity to produce a website fitting of the charity's objectives, and I continue to build and maintain the site to this day.

I built a site using modern tooling because of the various integrations with third party services that were required. The site I built supports integrations with a content management system, ticketing system and archive system. The tooling I use and the architecture I've chosen allow work done across the charity to be promoted on the website without any changes in workflow for non-technical staff.

Full disclosure: I sit as a member on the Irish heritage committee providing advice about technology and digital strategy.
