The PERCEPTICON is a full-stack application built for my final project at Makers Academy.
Our team wanted to explore how to build and apply machine learning algorithms, and decided on attempting to build an AI to determine journalistic quality by reading an article's headline. In essence, our application could tell a visitor if an article was 'clickbait'.
I made contributions across the entire stack for the duration of the project. I provided leadership for building the user-facing side of the application, packaged the algorithm we built as an API, and helped to refactor our implementation of the machine learning algorithm itself.
We presented the project after 2 weeks of development, where I explained the motivation behind the project. Our project and presentation are included on the Makers website as an example to potential students of what can be achieved by enrolling in the course.
